Campaign finance laws can be difficult and confusing.  We have created additional protections in place to protect you and me from making simple errors.  Below describes the legal language that safeguards us.

Contributions limits are $900 per election for the 2022 campaign and $1100 per election for the 2026 campaign. Only individuals may contribute to a San Diego County campaign. Spouses are considered separate contributors and must disclose and agree to their donation.

Contributions may not be accepted from foreign nationals unless they are a permanent resident (Green Card holder). Campaign finance laws prohibit reimbursing donors for their contributions. Contributions are non-tax deductible for federal or California tax purposes.

By making this contribution, you are giving your consent that your credit card donation will be allocated in the following sequence.

First to Marks for County Assessor/Recorder 2022 up to the $900 per election limit. Second to Marks for Assessor 2026 up to the $1,100 per election limit.
