Street Soccer USA (SSUSA) is the only national organization focused exclusively on growing a soccer culture from the bottom up. For nearly 10 years SSUSA has worked to grow sustainable community-based street soccer clubs that have impacted over 2,500 participants in Sacramento.
The Leadership Sacramento Class of 2024 is committed to supporting SSUSA’s mission of fighting poverty and strengthening communities through soccer and has chosen to establish a state-of-the-art shared soccer facility on the Capital College & Career Academy (CCCA) campus by January 2025. By adding the soccer park, this project aims to address CCCA’s lack of a dedicated physical activity and education space for its students, provide recreation options for the broader Old North Sacramento community, and create a meeting place for safe, healthy activity, ultimately helping players improve their life outcomes.
