Weeks after being sworn in as Alameda County DA in January 2023, Pamela Price faced a recall campaign, led by financier Philip Dreyfuss and real estate investor Isaac Abid. Nearly $1 million has been raised, mainly from real estate, property management firms, and tech investors.

This recall is part of a national trend targeting progressive DAs, similar to recent efforts against Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Chesa Boudin, and George Gascon. Despite claims that crime has risen under Price, a 2024 California report shows crime has decreased in Oakland.

DA Price has been standing up on "the right side of history" for decades. Whether fighting to end sexual harassment in 1977, standing up for LGBTQ rights since the 1980s, demanding justice and compassion for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, working on criminal justice reform or protesting gun violence in my community, it has always been second nature to her “to do something.”
